When I do, it either means that I’m really free, or Im really busy, and taking time out to let off some steam.
And the following was not one of those days when I’m really free.

I mean, our wives wouldn’t have to work, coz we as man of the house, can provide without working. So, they just have to ask from us. Isnt that easy?

But seriously, i still think that it happened not only because GOD allowed, but because ADAM was disobedient,he had a free will.

haha, well, i think your question would be, Why did God create us with FREEWILL applicable to us? Cant he just create us without freewill involved, so that way, it minimize the risk of dissapointment and sin.
For me, i reckon GOD COULD have created us without freewill, and we would just obey everything He says, and always do the right thing and do what we were told.
But for that, GOD would be just creating ROBOTS.
Picture two scenarios, one- A father and son. The son obeys everything that was told because he was told to listen to the father all the time.
Second, the son "chooses" to obey and follow what the father says, because he loves the father and knows that the father knows best and even though he doesnt knw wats at stake.
Im sure you'd agree that the second scenario brings more JOY to the father.
Same case here =)

and yes, pain in labor was the punishment given to woman because of the disobedience.
